1. Choose sealant as basis. On the interaction with various materials all sealants can be separated into several groups: silicone, acrylic, tiokolonovy and polyurethane.
2. Acrylic sealants are well fastened to concrete, brick and wooden surfaces. Besides, they are elastic and long keep this property. If you carry out internal works, choose this type of sealant. With its help it is possible to close up cracks on walls and ceiling, windows, doors and floors. It is simple to apply acrylic sealants: they are well leveled on surface, easily diluted with water and after drying become waterproof. Use them and for seal of deep openings – to pour liquid acrylic sealant in opening enough and it within a day will harden. Carry out finishing work on the processed surface – sealant is easily plastered and painted.
3. Between various materials apply polyurethane sealants to splice closure. They stick together tree and stone, plastic and metal, concrete and ceramics. If you need to close up roofing joints, interpanel seams or other designs, use polyurethane sealant. Its indisputable advantage is resistance to influence of salts, alkalis and acids, and therefore corrosion on metal designs is not terrible. Besides, if time is important for you, carry out works as polyurethane sealants - the initial film is formed in 1 - 1.5 hour.
4. For external splice closure and cracks use sealant on the basis of thiocolon. It is strong, allows temperature drops from-55 degrees to + 130 degrees and deformation of designs. If high resistance to atmospheric precipitation and action of corrosive medium is important – buy tiokolonovy sealant. It does not collapse from hit on it of oil, gasoline, solvents and alkalis. It can be applied to filling of cracks in concrete bowl of the pool, in garage and at gas station. Time of full hardening of seam is 2-3 days.
5. Stop the attention on silicone sealants. They can be applied to internal and external works, well stick together among themselves various materials and are resistant to high and low temperatures (from - 50 degrees up to +200 degrees).
