Though it is accepted that electric meters established special services, it can perform this work also to the normal resident of the apartment. It is important to be at the same time extremely accurate and attentive and to remember that with electricity it is better not to joke.
It is required to you
- Screw-driver, flat-nose pliers, new electric meter, bipolar automatic machine or package switch.
Instruction
1. Fix the new electric meter on guard.
2. Connect wires on the second and fourth terminals according to their numbers.
3. Connect wire number three on the third terminal.
4. On the first terminal connect the last wire.
5. Tighten tension screw.
6. Turn on the bipolar automatic machine or the package switch.
7. Check the scheme of connection. If everything is executed correctly, the indicator will show phase on the first and second terminals.
8. If the indicator shows phase on the third and fourth terminals, then the previous counter has been connected incorrectly. In this case make the following: a) again switch-off bipolar the automatic machine or the package switch; b) check the indicator that there was no terminal voltage; c) trade places of wire of the third and first terminals; d) trade places of wire of the fourth and second terminals; e) turn on the bipolar automatic machine or the package switch; e) double-check the scheme of connection.
9. Turn on automatic machines and twist traffic jams.
10. Check that the electric meter correctly worked: when turn on home electric devices look whether the disk of the counter rotates or as there is blinking of the indicator of the electronic counter. If the counter induction and its disk rotates in the opposite direction (from right to left) to bring it to operating condition, it is necessary: a) execute the necessary shutdowns as it is described above, check absence in network of tension and change wires of the second and first terminals; b) execute turning on of the counter, recheck the scheme and rotating direction of disk.
11. Install tightening cover on the electric meter.
12. Call the representative of the organization electricity provider to seal the electric meter and to issue it as rated.
