The old sofa does not please with the look any more, was abraded and soiled? The favourite chair which is filled in with favourite coffee spoils interior? It is not obligatory to throw out strong, but unsightly furniture and to buy new. It is possible to draw upholstery on furniture and to double the term of its operation.

- Fabric for upholstery, foam rubber, scissors, pins, centimetric tape, the furniture stapler, the screw-driver
Instruction
1. Buy fabric which will become new clothes just for decoration. On it it is better not to save and choose sound, rather strong material.
2. If it is possible, remove the unscrewing parts from subject which you restore. Unpick old upholstery, trying not to break its form and integrity.
3. Use it upholstery to make pattern for new – circle all parts on paper and cut. If to keep upholstery safe it was not possible, take by means of centimetric tape all measurements of chair or sofa which you draw. Restore outlines of parts to these measures on paper. Make allowance for bends. In those places where there have to be openings for handles/legs, etc. removable parts, make openings.
4. Cut paper patterns and needles pin them to fabric. Cut parts of new upholstery. Edges of openings for parts should be turned in inside and to stitch on the machine.
5. If filler of furniture has got out of shape and was torn, it needs to be removed. Replace it new – for these purposes use (ideally) natural filler and furniture foam rubber. If the first of them does not manage to be found, be limited only to foam rubber.
6. Duplicate patterns of those parts of furniture which need soft filler, only without allowances. Transfer form to foam rubber and cut the necessary parts. Impose them on appropriate places of furniture. That filler did not move during pulling, it can be taken slightly from below all-purpose adhesive.
7. Put upholstery parts on furniture, bend edges on that party which is least of all visible, make one-two bends (that fabric was not dismissed subsequently) on edge and attach fabric the furniture stapler. Do "stitch" rather frequent for bigger reliability and accuracy.
8. When the upholstery is attached, attach all removable parts. If desired decorate edges of furniture with the tape (attached by all-purpose transparent adhesive) or decorative accessories.
