Very few people from villagers and owners of seasonal dachas do not reserve vegetables and various preparations for the winter. Usually potatoes and banks with cookings and pickles find the place in house cellar. Such storage equipped under the house or on the street is convenient for placement in it of supplies, but before laying of products it needs to be prepared properly: to clean, air and dry up.

- - soap;
- - soda;
- - copper and iron vitriol;
- - metal furnace or tank;
- - resinous bars;
- - stearin candles.
Instruction
1. Begin work with arrangement of wooden shelves and racks. Sort designs where it is possible, and take out boards from cellar upward. Clean design parts from pollution and dust, then carefully wash with hot water with soap or solution of soda.
2. Now properly dry wooden parts of design in the sun and if it is not possible to wait for suitable weather, place them under well blown canopy.
3. After drying make disinfection of shelves, having whitewashed them lime mortar to which it is necessary to add copper vitriol (about 100-150 g on ten-liter bucket of solution). If on shelves and racks traces of decay and mold were found, process them water solution of iron and copper vitriol. Wash with the same solution walls of cellar and earth floors.
4. To dry cellar before laying of products, open ventilation pipes and the hatch. However these measures not always happen enough as usually in cellar air cold and therefore heavy so get prettier extracts will not turn out.
5. In the presence of the small metal oven install it on earth half of the room of cellar and kindle. If floors in cellar wooden, under legs of the oven place metal sheet or bricks. Leave slightly smoking oven at several o'clock that smoke has warmed up walls of the room and has dried them.
6. If there is no oven in economy, use unusable metal tank for drying. Put shaving, short resinous bars in such capacity and make small fire in tank. Put this improvised dryer in close proximity to air vent to create necessary draft. Periodically control process not to allow accidental ignition of wood structures.
7. If conditions do not allow to use such naked flame, create draft by means of candle. Establish the burning candle in can on floor, at opening of ventilation pipe. For creation of initial draft set fire to the crumpled sheet of paper directly in pipe, and then the draft will be maintained by flame of the burning candle. Perhaps, for full drying of cellar it is required to use two-three candles consistently.
