Avocado – beautiful plant of family laurel, growing in forests of South America. Growing on your windowsill, it, of course, will not bear juicy fruits, but will please you at all seasons of the year, creating tropical surroundings in the apartment.
It is required to you
- - avocado stone;
- - toothpicks;
- - crude peat;
- - sand;
- - garden earth;
- - humus;
- - lime;
- - pot;
- - water;
- - fertilizer.
Instruction
1. Buy juicy ripe fruit and take from it stone. Wash out it and wipe. To couch avocado stone, place it in jar with water so that it has been submerged in liquid partially.
2. Also it is recommended to do at an angle in the central part of the thick party of stone three equidistant openings. String stone on three matches or toothpicks and establish on "legs" in bank with boiled cool water. The stone has to concern water only slightly. It is possible also for maintenance it to use design from cardboard or polyfoam.
3. You monitor maintenance of appropriate height of water in bank, adding it in process of evaporation.
4. Several weeks later there will be backs. When their length reaches three centimeters, land stone in substrate. Pave the way, having taken the garden earth, humus, coarse sand and crude peat in equal parts. Use crude peat, otherwise necessary proportions will be broken. Do not fill up stone completely, having submerged it in the soil only on third.
5. Avocado does not love the sour soil therefore, mixing the earth for substrate, add to it lime pinch. Use for landing of plant pot from plastic as clay capacity will absorb the moisture necessary for avocado. That the pot bottom well passed water, make in it several additional openings and arrange drainage from haydite granules.
6. As avocado is inclined to pulling, growing up it in house conditions, regularly do nipping. Arrange plant near northern window or its pritenyayta. By means of phytolamps which can be bought in flower shop during the winter period increase daylight hours for avocado.
7. The significant role in life of plant is played by moisture. Even insignificant drying of the soil causes dumping of leaves. In the summer watering has to be more abundant, than in the winter. In arid climate it is recommended to humidify plant with spraying constantly.
8. The most suitable temperature for avocado fluctuates from 16 to 20 degrees. During the spring and summer period fertilize it mineral fertilizers for tropical plants. Use structures in the liquid state.
