To grow up garlic, choose the sites with fertile loamy soils located in the dry and well lit places. In August in the earth bring superphosphate, dolomite powder and also humus or compost.
Instruction
1. Before landing the earth should be dug over on depth of 18-20 cm then to level beds and to condense them a little. The soil needs to be processed solution of copper vitriol, he is trained at the rate of 40 g on 10 l of water. Use 1 l of this solution on 10 sq.m. of landings. After that the earth is covered with film until jumping.
2. For autumn landing take garlic of the last fresh harvest, select healthy dry bulbs, then separate them into cloves. At the same time it is not necessary to allow any damages. Cloves display by the size, allocating large, average and small, it will allow to receive uniform shoots.
3. The cloves which are spread out on fractions wash out, using solution of table salt. For its preparation take 3 tablespoons of salt on 5 liters of water. After that cloves are put in solution of copper vitriol (1 tablespoon on 10 liters of water) for 1 minute, and then put on beds, without washing out.
4. Winter garlic should be landed in 35-45 days prior to the onset of cold weather. During this time it has to manage to create the good root system getting deep into soils on 10-12 cm. At the same time at plant should not sprout leaves.
5. Along each bed do grooves of 6-8 cm in depth at distance of 20-25 cm from each other, in them put cloves. From the surface of the soil to each of them there have to be 4-5 cm, and between them — from 6 to 8 cm, for crushed fines this distance can be reduced. Cloves need to be put vertically collum down or to stack them sideways. In 2-3 weeks it is necessary to pour peat or humus on beds, thickness of layer has to be about 2 cm.
6. Shoots will appear in the early spring, they will need to be prorykhlit on depth of 2-3 cm. During the period from May till beginning of July it is necessary to water garlic, using about 10-12 l of water on 1 sq.m. of landings. Watering is carried out once in 8-10 days, in 20 days prior to harvesting it should be stopped.
7. When at plant 3-4 leaves are formed, do the first fertilizing. For this purpose use 1 tablespoon of urea on 10 l of water. Garlic is watered with overhead irrigation method, spending about 2-3 liters of solution for 1 sq.m. In two weeks after the first fertilizing carry out the second for what take 2 tablespoons to nitrophoska or nitroammofosk and part in 10 l of water.
8. The third time of fertilizer is brought in the second decade of June when the bulb begins to be formed. For this purpose take 2 tablespoons of the crushed superphosphate on 10 l of water, the consumption of solution makes about 5 l on 1 sq.m. of landings. Start harvesting of garlic at the end of June or at the beginning of August.
