Cultivation of willow usually does not cause big problems. It well grows on the damp loams rich with humus and nutrients. Does not demand any special leaving, only spring cutting and that is at will.

1. Choose the shaded sites for landing of willow, it well grows near reservoirs – stream, pond, the small river. Otherwise this plant needs frequent waterings: at least two times a week under willow it is necessary to pour out on water bucket. The exception is possible only in the rainy summer.
2. Dig over the earth in radius of three meters. Remove weeds, in particular – roots of long-term herbs: sow-thistle, goutweed, nettle, etc. Dig hole about 1 CBM in size. Put bark of old foliferous trees, sawdust, other vegetable garbage on bottom. Process layer any means killing mean insects. Over bark fill the compost earth or the rotted-through manure. The willow is extremely sympathetic on high content in the soil of nutrients.
3. Fertilize double superphosphate: on one landing you need about 25-35 g of this fertilizer. It is favorable for development of root system therefore it is not necessary to ignore this council. If you put willow in the fall, add to hole of potash saltpeter, she will help sapling to winter safely. But in the Northwest part of the country it is more preferable nevertheless spring landings. Because of possibility of arrival of hard frosts before formation of steady snow layer the young bushes can freeze.
4. Straighten willow roots around the hillock collected in the center of hole. Holding saplings one hand, cover another fertile garden with earth. Carefully stamp and well water. In week (at spring landing) bushes will start in growth. It can be noticed on swelling of kidneys or blooming of foliage – looking in what time you have replaced plant.
5. Look after young willow. It is sympathetic on frequent waterings, fertilizing by nitrogenous mineral fertilizers and also microelements, introduction of liquid organic fertilizers and loosening. One – two times during the season spray willow with solution for scaring away of mean insects. At the same time it is desirable to process not only krone, but also pristvolny circle as insects could manage to lay eggs to the earth. That the bush was more dense, bend down the lower branches, pin them wooden bear spears and powder with the compost earth. They during the season by all means will take roots and will give to willow new trunks.
