For giving to original products from glass, stone or tree of more attractive look various engraving is used. Stationary machines for its performance there is enough road therefore it is in certain cases reasonable to supply house workshop with the engraving device of own production. Such machine is practical, simple in use and does not demand scarce materials.
It is required to you
- - metal threaded studs;
- - nuts;
- - organic glass or plywood;
- - aluminum U-section;
- - bearings;
- - three engines from matrix printers;
- - welding machine.
Instruction
1. Make independently or order to the expert welded design which will become the basis of the engraving machine. For the basis take metal section or aluminum pipe of square section. The profile will be used also as skids. Weld vertical rack on the P-shaped basis.
2. Attach two ball-bearings to the left and right sleeves of the basis, having attracted them thermoshrinkage or soft plastic. Between bearings place motion screw with the plate equipped with bolt for fastening of the plane.
3. On axis of motion screw by means of metal pin strengthen electric motors. Other way of fastening assumes availability of support from plexiglass. For fastening of axis use the adapter and piece of rubber hose, having wound it on running axis. Make the sizes of site of axis equal to the working field of the engraving machine.
4. As the engraving tool use household mini-drill, the engraver or multipurpose dremel for processing of glass and stone. Attach the tool to the machine by means of the combined fastening executed from scraps of plexiglass and threaded studs with nuts.
5. Equip the machine with the block of numerical program control, having used the ready controller or having made it independently. As the program for the CNC use free of charge distributed version of Linux CNC.
6. Install the assembled device on work table or workbench, previously having leveled surface on construction level. Before work adjust the course of mobile parts of the machine and make sure of reliability of fastening of the engraving tool. Use such self-made machine for art processing of products from steel, glass, stone, tree; it will be suitable and for production of payments of self-made electronic instruments.
