On the site allocated under reservoir it is necessary to remove all fertile soil layer and to carefully remove any plant debris. The form of ditch can be any, but walls have to be inclined planes. The bottom and walls of future reservoir need to be revetted with waterproof materials. For these purposes it is good to use carefully mixed clay. Solution needs to be applied on surfaces in one layer, to allow it some time to dry up. Then to cover clay walls and bottom with waterproof film. It is desirable to use strong polyethylene which does not pass light and, therefore, guarantees that the seeds which have remained in soil will not flush. If over waterproof polyethylene to lay one more clay layer, the artificial pond will serve twice longer. The edge of film should be cut accurately, having left on allowance ten centimeters from each party. The edge can be powdered with the earth or to lay out stones. The ready bottom of the lake can be diversified with marine rubble, multi-colored crushed stone or stones.
How to make the lake with clear water
To make the lake, but not the swamp, flowing water is necessary. For this purpose the artificial reservoir is equipped with the waste and incoming water supply system. It means that the pipe providing water supply is reported with the center water supply system, and goes down through sewage pipe in cesspool or the system of the sewerage. Water dumping is carried out by opening of latch or drain hole. Replacement of water in reservoir needs to be made regularly – as required.
