Those who has in economy at least one horse surely need the good sleigh. It is not obligatory to buy them in shop, the sleigh for horse can be made independently, at the same time you will be able to choose the size, weight of design and to use those materials which are available.

- - pipes with a diameter of 25-50 mm;
- - metal sheets;
- - profile (corner or channel);
- - boards;
- - plywood;
- - primer;
- - paint on metal and on tree;
- - welding machine;
- - fret saw;
- - fixture.
Instruction
1. Most important and difficult in design of the sleigh – runners, also begin production with them. Use for them pipe with a diameter not less than 40 mm from stainless or normal carbon steel. Two preparations will be necessary for you, is approximately one meter longer, than the planned length of the sleigh.
2. Bend preparations from pipe by means of the pipe bender or make-shifts. If there is no pipe bender, densely fill pipe the washed-out and dried up sand, heat and carefully bend. Try to make identical runners. Bend not only lobby, but also back part of runners that it was possible to move backing.
3. If there is opportunity, on the outer diameter of bend weld on upon pipe thin (several centimeters more widely than pipe diameter) steel strip to expand contact surface. In this case the sleigh will go much easier and quicker on friable snow.
4. Depending on length of the sleigh weld on several racks from each party. For the short sleigh on which it is not going to transport heavy loads it is possible to manage two reliable racks, for cargo have racks not further, than through 20-25 cm. For racks use pipe of 25 mm, corner, channel. To facilitate design, instead of metal racks you can make wooden, having fixed them on the squares welded on runners.
5. Connect racks cross crossbeams that the skeleton of the sleigh was formed. It is the best of all to use welding to provide reliability of connections. If you have pipe bender, instead of welding bend pipes in the form of letter "P" (width of crossbeam will be equal to distance between runners) and weld them on runners. Weld one of crossbeams on upper part of runners to improve rigidity of design.
6. From pipe make several "swell dowels" of calculation on 6 pieces from each party and weld them on runners. From length there can be about 10 cm. In that place where shafts will fasten (as a rule, it is the second kopyla from the beginning), in addition weld on metal plate 8 mm thick, the sizes of 15х10 cm. In these plates previously drill openings for hooks.
7. Smooth out seams, cover all design with primer, paint (better by means of airbrush to receive plain surface).
8. Try to facilitate the rest of the self-made sleigh as much as possible as it does not bear strong loading. Of boards make board and bench, of plywood – board of the sleigh. If in the sleigh you carry people, surely make soft seats, having sheathed them foam rubber and frost-resistant material. Paint wooden parts and paint.
