The coded lock is the locking device opening not key, but special combination from digits. The code can be exposed on cylinder or be gathered from the keyboard. Certainly, such device is more reliable than the normal lock opened by key, but reliability of the coded lock sometimes increased can play dirty trick with you. How to be if you have forgotten the opening combination? Such trouble quite often happens to elderly people and not only to them.
Instruction
1. If before you the mechanical push-button lock, attentively examine it. Quite often at the long use of the same code certain buttons on the lock look jammed or, on the contrary, darkened. As a rule, it is three buttons, in certain cases two or four. Examine also the surface of the lock directly around buttons. Paint on the panel in those places where there is frequent pressing, can be damaged that will also indicate the opening numerical combination.
2. If externally all buttons look equally, and their surface does not differ one from another, then use the method used in criminalistics by search of fingerprints – consider the surface of buttons at an angle, at slantwise the falling lighting. If the opening combination did not change long ago, then in such a way you will be able to reveal the buttons differing in color from others. Reception, however, is suitable only in the afternoon and in sunny weather.
3. In certain cases to learn the code of the lock, rather attentively to consider wall surface around door in entrance. Quite often elderly people to whom bad memory is inherent do hardly noticeable marks by pencil at the level of the eyes, writing down the code of outer door to facilitate to themselves life.
4. One more reception assumes that you have good tactile sensitivity. Consistently press the buttons of the coded lock, trying to find out what of them are pressed easier than others. Usually those from them most of which often work have more stretched springs therefore it is rather easier to press them.
5. When using any of the ways described above consider that, as a rule, in the opening combinations the digits located only in the same row and the digits far remote from each other extremely seldom are used. Usually the combination is selected so that to be ergonomic, that is convenient for pressing fingers of one hand.
