- - ceramic tile;
- - self-tapping screws or anchors;
- - glue;
- - palette.
Instruction
1. The ceramic tile best of all will be suitable for finishing of the furnace. Such covering very beautifully looks and increases fireplace thermal capacity. Correctly laid tile will hold on on the furnace many years.
2. Prepare surface for work. Carefully clean the furnace from old covering, paint, solution and clay. You have to have "naked" surface where only bricks are visible. Smooth out seams on depth of one centimeter, is possible more.
3. Old paint which difficult is removed is removed in a different way. On the surface of the furnace make notches of two-three millimeters in depth and clean off covering the palette or metal brush nozzle on drill.
4. After cleaning wipe the surface of the furnace with damp rag or sponge to remove dust and dirt. Lay special masonry grid on walls, the size of its cells have to coincide with the tile size. It is possible to fix this grid by metal anchors or self-tapping screws. The Pobeditovy drill make openings on which the grid will keep in the furnace.
5. The tile keeps within by means of heat-resistant or normal tiled glue. It is possible to use also the special gluing solution intended for fastening of ceramic tile to the furnace. To hold water in solution, on one bucket of glue add one kilogram of salt which interferes with water evaporation.
6. Just before laying you need to level the gluing solution working surface. Apply with the palette glue on grid and delete all roughnesses. It will be better if you use only one layer of solution. Otherwise wait for full drying of the first layer and accurately put the second.
7. As much as possible warm the furnace. The ceramic tile can be stacked on the furnace only at such temperature. Maintain heat during all process of laying. The top is more convenient to spread tile from below. That seams have turned out identical, use special crosses. As often as possible check flatness of the received ranks, quickly eliminate defects.
8. Now you should process finish seams between tile. It is applied with spatula or the grater intended for this purpose. After that carefully wash tile damp sponge. At will process seams dirt-resistant substance.
