Beet well grows on fertile loamy soils. It is sympathetic on frequent waterings in droughty weather, fertilizing by magnesian fertilizers and organic chemistry. To grow up good harvest of beet in midland – it it is possible to plant seeds in soil, in the conditions of the northwest – through seedling.

1. Prepare in March-April boxes for cultivation of beet seedling. For their filling mix equal proportions of humus and the garden earth. If desired it is possible to use the land bought in flower shop. In the bottom of capacity by all means make several openings – they will protect shoots from excessive humidity when watering.
2. Couch seeds. For these purposes it is possible to use the normal gauze put in several layers. Wet it, slightly wring out, on half put beet seeds, cover with other part. Put on saucer and remove for several days to the warm dark place. Surely check whether seeds have arisen.
3. Water the soil for seedling placed in special tanks and let's it stand 1-2 hours. Draw grooves at distance in 3-4 cm from each other. Plant beet seeds in chessboard order. Try not to thicken landings. As well as light and reserve of nutrients is necessary for adult plants, seedling.
4. Dig over beds on which you are going to plant beet seedling. If since fall have not filled the soil with organic fertilizers – it is a high time to make it now. Only you do not bring fresh manure – in this case it will not be possible to receive normal quality of root crops. It is better to give preference to the compost earth. Surely add to it double superphosphate at the rate of 4-5 g on 1 sq.m. of bed. Close up it on shovel pin depth. Note on hole bed, their arrangement depends on the beet grade chosen by you. If it – sredneplodny, land 15-20 cm at distance. For large-fruited grades – the distance should be increased.
5. Water, weed, you loosen beet. Time in 10 days it makes sense to feed up plants organic fertilizers (dung water or solution of the fermented weeds) and microelements. This garden culture is sympathetic also on introduction of wood ashes.
