Copper products are extraordinary beautiful. Their beauty is unique, peculiar. Ware from copper, decor objects – picked up with taste, they in own way decorate the house. However this metal can get green shade over time and to become covered by dark dim stains. There are several ways how to purify copper and to return it dazzling shine.
It is required to you
- - sponge or bast;
- - soft fabric (flannel);
- - lemon;
- - cleaning agent;
- - flour;
- - vinegar;
- - coarse salt.
Instruction
1. Rub copper product with half of fresh lemon, rub brush or sponge and rinse water. Wipe dry soft fabric.
2. Dissolve in hot water (45-50ºC) small amount of any cleaning agent (better than liquid) and wash out in it subject from copper brush or bast. If this large product, for example, samovar or big basin, then make soap solution more and in process of cooling add hot water. The small product can be washed also in small ware. Upon termination of the procedure rinse thing clear cold water and wipe.
3. Prepare the following structure: take flour, vinegar and coarse rock salt in equal parts, mix. Apply on copper product and leave for 20-30 minutes. Then dry wipe piece of flannel.
4. If product from copper old, and pollution on it strong, you can boil it in vinegar to which coarse salt (on 0.5 l of vinegar of 1 tablespoon of salt) within 15-30 minutes is added. Take safety precautions, you watch that acetic vapors have not got to you on mucous eye, nose and throat. Put on gauze bandage for the period of the procedure, or, having covered the container with the boiling vinegar with cover, leave the room. After boiling let's product cool down, wash with clear water and rub to gloss.
5. If the copper product is not polluted, and has just lost former gloss, you can crumple the old newspaper and polish surface before initial shine.
6. In product old times from copper (samovars, Tazy, bowls) cleaned bank sand or crumb of red brick, however, it is rather rigid abrasive, it can leave scratches on thing. If this circumstance does not confuse you, can use also this way.
7. In shops of household chemicals, cleansers which clean also copper among other surfaces are on sale. For example, good results are yielded by good old "Pemolux" and also effective "Kliner Metal".
