Benjamin's ficus – it evergreen kustovidny tree is from subtropical and tropical forests. It enjoys special popularity among fans of houseplants. As the ficus is unpretentious, it does not demand special leaving and is suitable as decoration of interior. But sooner or later, to plant it becomes close in pot and change is required. But not everyone knows how it is correct to make it, actually it is not so difficult.

Instruction
1. The young ficus of Benjamin is recommended to be replaced at least once a year by transfer method. Capacity at the same time has to be a little more previous, but in any case not at once in big. It is desirable to replace ficus during the spring period, at the end of February – the beginning of March. It is necessary to replace plants which age exceeds four years once in two-three years in pot of slightly large diameter, than previous (approximately to 3 centimeters). Every five years is enough to replace absolutely old plants.
2. If Benjamin's ficus huge also grows in tub, with a diameter not less than 30 centimeters, in this case there is question how to replace such plant. Such ficus is not replaced, and every year change top layer of the earth (three centimeters) for new and add 20% of fertilizer (organic).
3. If the lump of the earth is almost completely braided by roots, the soil after watering very quickly dries up and roots of ficus look out of drainage holes, in this case it is time to start change of plant. On bottom of the prepared pot lay out haydite layer – 1.5-2 centimeters.
4. Place in new pot plant together with the old earth. Powder ficus from sides and from above with the paved way. If you have decided to pave the way independently, mix one part of humus, one part of the sheet earth and one part of the peat earth. For friability it is possible to add one part of bank sand. Establish ficus in pot and fill with the prepared substrate.
5. As all know, change is peculiar stress for plant therefore in the first month after change the subsidence and yellowing of leaves can be observed. In this case reduce watering or replace it with sprayings. Water only after when the earth completely dries up. Six months later after change it is possible to make fertilizing.
