1. There is huge number of types of bromeliya, they are well-known for violent paints and extraordinary forms. All of them grow in half-shade or shadow, but plants with rigid leaves feel much more comfortably at bright light. At low temperatures and bad illumination of plant sleep, especially during the winter period. Bromeliya demand continuous warm temperature – 25 degrees, it will turn them into ideal houseplants.
2. Bromeliya needs to replace when you have noticed significant increase in root system. For change you will need pot which diameter has to be 3-4 centimeters more than previous. Prepare independently water-permeable mix on the basis of peat with addition of sand and special substrate for orchids. It is possible to prepare the following mix: mix rough sand, peat substrate, garden gravel in equal proportions, mix all this and a half part of sheet humus. Lay haydite or layer of clay crocks on bottom of pot, it is necessary for drainage system.
3. Bromeliya is given children at the basis of stalks when their age reaches several months and their growth is one third of length of the parental socket, it is necessary to cut off them sharp knife at the basis. Make sure available backs if they are not enough, then place plant in the container with water. Leave until worthy backs appear.
4. Separate small groups of offsprings into several individual shoots with roots. Put each shoot in the pot suitable by the size with the paved way. It is abundant water with the warm and settled water and put to the warm place. When watering try not to get to the leaf socket until they surely do not take root.
