1. Prepare the car to eliminate backlashes in steering racks. For this purpose the machine has to be in garage with viewing hole or on the elevator.
2. You have to be from below car to make further actions. Remove protection of the crankcase (in case it is available). Grope adjusting nut. It is located on rail, on the opposite side of fastening of steering shaft which is turned to body. Usually the nut is covered with lump of the dried-up dirt therefore it is for the first time not so simple to find it.
3. Properly clean nut from the dried dirt. Take octahedral wrench on 17 mm. Be accurate in the course of pulling up of nut (it is necessary to tighten it clockwise). Control the tightening moment as at first can seem to you that you scroll nut empty. Do not twist it too sharply as it can complicate turn of steering wheel subsequently.
4. If all of you have tightened nut too hardly, you should make efforts to weaken a little steering rack.
5. If your car has the steering gear with the hydraulic booster, then in this case you need the help of the friend. Bring wheels into situation for the movement directly. Rotate steering wheel (no more than on 30 ° from average situation). Your workmate has to rotate carefully adjustment screw by means of nut 12-faced key No. 18 at this time until the knock arising at rotation of wheel does not stop. Before it disconnect the left tip and remove plastic guard on the left arch in order that it was possible to reach adjustment screw.
6. Make trial trip after adjustment of the steering gear and if necessary correct it.
