For the happy owner of wooden floor the easiest way to update it - to paint or varnish. The operations procedure given below will help to make everything quickly and cheap, and, above all - is qualitative.
Preparatory stage
- We clean floor from old paint. For this purpose the grinding or scraped machine (these tools can be leased) and also the angular grinder will approach.
- After the layer of old varnish or paint is removed, it is necessary to clean and putty slots on floor surface. It is better to use putty for water-based tree. It well fills micro cracks and quickly dries.
- Now it is possible to paint surface. In the beginning we ground floor for better coupling of paint with material, and then we paint in two layers. Give preference to models with the maximum wear resistance.
- If the choice has fallen on varnish, then he has to be water-based as only in interaction with water it will manage to keep perfectly structure of tree, not to smell and to dry quickly. It is worth covering floor in several layers. The break between painting works has to make 5-6 hours that will give the chance to varnish to dry.
We paint tiled floor
- Previously we cover with abrasive liquid, removing fat and pollution.
- Now moisture resistant primer with the maximum ability to penetration is used.
- Coloring is carried out 24 hours later after putting soil. It is necessary to cover in several layers (I can be appeared through dark elements of tile coat of paint).
We change linoleum
It is possible to buy carpet or the same new linoleum. It is very important to pick up covering width to avoid seams. The covering can be changed so:
- We remove old covering and we clean surface from the dried-up glue, we dismantle plinth.
- Previously we level floor and we putty it. The surface for laying has to be plain.
- Glue is smeared with thin strips on distance of 50 cm and we roll roll. It is worth remembering that at walls it is necessary to leave 3-5 cm of stock to trim the edges ideally close (end-to-end).
- We cut off linoleum and we establish plinth.
How to update floor on the balcony
On the balcony the covering is subjected to the biggest tests - floor has to be resistant to burning out, critical temperatures, wear, moisture and it is easy to be cleaned off from dirt. All criteria are answered by combined flooring. Mounting of covering requires a few efforts and the following operations procedure:
- We begin dismantling of old floor, we clean surface from dust and pollution.
- We stack flooring, mounting it by means of the built-in castle fastenings. We cut extreme tiles. Installation needs to be begun from internal wall of balcony to external.
- We mount plinth.
