Influence of phases of the Moon on development of plants
It is known that the Moon passes 4 phases:
- new moon;
- the growing Moon;
- full moon;
- the decreasing Moon.
Each phase influences also living organisms, and plants. In new moon the vital processes in plants are in "hibernation" (anabiosis). Activity slows down.
When the Moon grows (from new moon to the 1st quarter), juice begins to come from roots to stalks, kroner, leaves. From the 1st quarter to full moon the activity of all live, including plants, increases.
In full moon the stalks, kroner, leaves, fruits are most saturated with nutrients. When the Moon decreases, juice from leaves, kroner, stalks goes to roots.
So, the most useful fruits and greens can be received, having brought together them in full moon. Vegetables grow more intensively, increasing productivity by 20%. Root crops will be more tasty if to dig out them in new moon.
For receiving big crop of elevated part of plants plant them when the Moon grows (from new moon and full moon). If underground parts of plants are required, sow seeds on the decreasing Moon.

- The second quarter (the 2nd half from new moon to full moon). Plant annual plants for receiving fruits with seeds inside: pumpkin, squash, tomatoes, pepper. It is possible to land bean, creeping cultures, grain cereals. This good time for planting of trees, harvesting of grain.
- Full moon. It is impossible to put, replace plants, including perennials, they will not take root or will be ill. Do not cut off escapes, branches, do not delete stepsons. It is possible to thin out shoots, to weed, collect root crops on seed plants and also seeds. It is allowed to sow grass, to plant greens.
- The third quarter (the 1st half from full moon to new moon). Plant biennial plants, perennials and annual plants from which it is going to receive root crops, tubers: radish, beet, turnip, garden radish, swede, carrots, potatoes. The period is favorable for autumn, subwinter landings and also disembarkation, cutting of bushes, trees. In this phase of the Moon all plants need watering.
- The last quarter (the 2nd half from full moon to new moon). It is recommended to plant plants, to remove vegetables and to put them on storage. Time is considered adverse for division of bulbs, roots, their reproduction. It is possible to bring organic chemistry, to put compost, to loosen, dig over the earth, to delete weeds, to spray plants against wreckers.
