Each of them has merits and demerits which should be considered when choosing such material.
Construction brick
Production technique of normal brick is quite simple. It is formed from clay and special additives then is located in the furnace and burns at high temperature. Such material has high strength, hardness and ability to maintain heavy loads. The construction brick is corpulent and hollow (slot-hole).
The whole brick is more expensive because on its production more material leaves. It is heavier hollow approximately twice. Due to the structure he carries well out heat therefore houses from it need to be warmed in addition. It increases costs of construction. But at corpulent brick high bearing capacity therefore it is irreplaceable at construction of the high-loaded designs.
The hollow brick is cheaper integral because on it almost twice less clay leaves. At the expense of it also block weight decreases that leads to reduction of foundation load. If to lay out external walls from such material, it is possible to save on heater and to reduce costs on heating.
Lime sand brick
The lime sand brick has white color. The technology of its production strongly differs from way of production of ceramic construction brick. Quartz sand to which lime is added is applied to its production. Durability gathers material due to chemical reaction of sand with lime, high temperature and pressure. The lime sand brick is cheaper construction that is important at the large volume of construction. It differs in high frost resistance, durability and provides good sound insulation. It can be applied to construction of houses of any number of storeys, is suitable for laying of load-carrying structures. It is harmless to the person and the environment. The lime sand brick is not deprived of shortcomings. The main of them — susceptibility to moisture. Under its influence it begins to collapse. Therefore this material is not suitable for the bases, wells and other constructions which are affected by water. If you build the house of lime sand brick, it is worth impregnating external part of wall with protective structure. It will prolong the term of its service.
Other types of brick
Rather new, but very perspective material — porizovanny brick. The technology of its production is not too difficult. Add the wooden sawdust which is burning out when roasting to clay. On their place in body of the block cavities are formed. At the expense of them material very well keeps heat, coming nearer on this ability to gas concrete. The block has the big size that facilitates laying process, and the smooth front surface does not need decorative facing. The only lack of porizovanny brick — high cost. One more type of brick — facing. It has smooth glossy surface and is applied to decorative finishing of buildings. Has high frost resistance and wear resistance, is not afraid of water influence. To laying of walls it is not applied because of high cost. For the same reason do not use in mass construction and clinker brick. It has very high strength which is reached due to use of high-melting clay and high temperature of roasting. Use it for facing of furnaces, fireplaces and construction of small architectural forms.
