Pandanus — unpretentious plant. It is the best of all to place it in the light or slightly shaded place. For these purposes it is possible to use windows with the western and east exposure. If you put pandanus from South side, every day it follows pritenyat from 11 to 17 o'clock in the summer.
Lighting and temperature
The pandanus can transfer lack of lighting only short period of time. If it lacks light, leaves begin to lose durability and to be bent, and poecilophyllous forms change the original coloring.

It is regularly necessary to air the room, but to avoid drafts. During all seasons it is necessary to maintain temperature not below +15os, it is the best of all to contain pandanus at +19-25os.
Watering and fertilizing
In the summer the plant is watered it is abundant, but the top soil has to dry up between waterings. At the same time it is impossible to allow dryings of earth lump. It is the best of all to carry out the lower watering by warm water with temperature near +35os. In the winter and recommend to water moderately, in 2-3 days in the fall after the top layer of substrate dries up. Water needs to be used well defended and soft, its temperature has to be on 2-3os above, than at surrounding air. If it is lower +18os, the plant can ache. Fertilizing carry out to the period from March to August every week or each 2 weeks, for this purpose use flower fertilizer. It should be brought in cold season not more often than 1 time a month. Young plants are replaced annually, by adults — each 2-3 years. As pandanus roots very brittle, recommends to do transfer, without breaking earth lump. New substrate is prepared from the sheet and cespitose earth, humus and sand, all components take in equal shares. For change prepare deep ware and construct drainage not less, than on one third of pot. The plant is not buried in substrate, it is left at the same level on what it was in old capacity. Before holding procedure recommend to collect pandanus leaves in bunch and to tie up.
