Red Scarlet – the early ripening Dutch potatoes quite suitable for cultivation on the seasonal dacha. Tubers of beautiful equal form are surprised parasites a little, are long stored, have the pleasant balanced taste.

Description of grade

Potatoes belong to early ripening grades, the maturing period – 70-80 days depending on weather conditions. The productivity of grade depends on the region and way of cultivation. On average from hectare reap 40-45 tons, most recorded crop – 60 t from hectare. The maximum productivity is observed at the end of vegetative term.

Features of cultivation

It is better to grow up early ripening potatoes in lukewarm climate with good humidity. At the shortage of moisture the tubers become shallow and cease to develop. If the season is droughty, it is necessary to provide artificial watering.    

On landing select equal seed potatoes, couch tubers on light. For prevention of diseases they can be processed potassium permanganate solution. For landing it is desirable to use the whole, uncut potatoes with large number of sprouts.
