Device and operation of the geyser
The geyser has similarity to normal kitchen cabinet. In this "cabinet" two torches, the heat exchanger, temperature recorders, regulators and three small pipelines which are responsible for supply of water, gas and conclusion of heated water from column are built in. Adjustment
After purchase and installation of the geyser it is necessary to make control of comfortable temperature condition. For this purpose it is required:
- to establish supply of water and gas on the minimum indicators
- to open supply of water and gas in column
- to open supply of hot water in the crane, then to adjust water pressure on the gas equipment
- to wait several minutes, then to take water temperature
- to increase gas supply, thereby having increased water temperature to indicators necessary to you
- to leave all settings and to use water of comfortable temperature
Unstable or maloperation of temperature condition
To avoid unstable or maloperation of column, upon purchase it is necessary to study characteristics of the device as many columns have various power which can not approach to your house or the apartment.
Formation of blockages in column is the following reason of problems with work of temperature condition. It is possible to determine it by uncharacteristic color of flame and availability of soot. In this case it is necessary to make cleaning of ventilating ways.
At insufficient temperature of heating or overheating of water, it is necessary to make simple operation on regulation of supply of gas in column. At low water temperature – to increase giving, when overheating, respectively, to reduce giving.
The geyser is not lit
If at turning on of the geyser, it refuses to be lit, then you should not call the master at once. Most often the lack of draft in ventilation is the reason of this problem. It occurs when foreign objects get to the mine or the big layer of soot accumulates. For check of draft it is necessary to light match and to bring it to ventilation. If the flame of match deviates in any party – the draft is if the flame does not wave – there is no draft.
But there are also other reasons when the column refuses to be lit. For example, breakage of the elements which are responsible for giving of spark in the system of ignition. In this case it is necessary to remove the top box and to turn off candle then to execute operations on its cleaning and to insert back. If this procedure has not yielded beneficial effect, then it is necessary to call the master.
Weak pressure in feed systems is one more reason of faulty operation of column. There are cases when the pressure of cold water is stronger, than more hotly and vice versa. The filter and membrane is responsible for pressure in system. The filter can be removed, cleaned then to establish back.
In order that to remove it, it is necessary to turn off nut from giving of stream, to get network and to wash out. If the filter has worn out strongly, then it is reasonable to replace it new not to face the same problem again through short period.
It is more difficult to remove membrane, this operation will require the scheme of gas boiler. If the membrane is damaged, then it should be replaced.
Replacement of membrane is carried out in the following sequence:
- from water knot the attachment nut, as a rule, such 2 is turned off;
- further screws thanks to which keeping of water knot is carried out are turned off. In gas model of such screws 3;
- having disunited knot halves, it is possible to see membrane. If its form not flat, and deformed, then it is subject to replacement.
It is possible to get membrane in specialized shop. It is better to buy product from silicone as this material is capable to serve much longer in comparison with the rubberized analog.
In situation when the column is lit on short period and goes out, it is necessary to check condition of thermopaste on valves. If thermopaste has burned out, it should be replaced. It is possible to buy thermopaste also in any shop of plumbing.
Course
The gas equipment connects tubes which on the expiration of time can begin to flow. Tubes will connect to the help of nuts at which there is laying. Laying most often is the reason of formation of courses. To fix this problem, just it is necessary to replace laying. In certain cases after laying replacement the course can remain therefore sometimes instead of one establish two laying. If and after this manipulation the problem is not solved, then it is necessary to replace connecting nut.
Leaking of the heat exchanger
In case the heat exchanger reads to pass water, it is possible to replace it with new or to repair already available. The heat exchanger price often is 30% of the price of the column. For elimination of leaking it is necessary to resort to soldering of the coil. This way perfectly is suitable for the heat exchanger which adjoins to low temperatures. Cracks on coil are formed generally on outer side which is open for free access, and seldom or never on internal. Scum on the heat exchanger
The majority of geysers suffer from problem of emergence of scum on the heat exchanger then the column works poorly or does not work in general. The scum is formed for the following reasons:
- use not of quality water
- use of the high temperature condition exceeding 80 °
- not shutdown of fuses
It is necessary to fight against scum by means of preventive cleaning of the heat exchanger and use not of high temperature conditions. In the absence of need to use hot water, it is always necessary to switch-off the gas burner as during the long work temperature can rise to the high value exceeding 80 °.

Scum symptoms:
- weak pressure of water
- weak or unstable temperature condition
- switching off of column right after inclusion, or not its inclusion at all
After scaling it is necessary to execute cleaning of the heat exchanger.
For this purpose it is necessary to remove external box and to block supply of water and gas in column. Then the giving phone from the heat exchanger from which residues of water merge is picked up. It is required to merge 1-2 liters of water. Further the tube of the corresponding diameter is put on entrance to the heat exchanger and a little higher than the level of the heater rises. The normal funnel which is used in life of any house is inserted into this hose, and through it the cleaning solution accurately joins. Solution can be prepared independently from make-shifts in the form of acetic essence, and it is possible to get in shop means from scum which gets divorced according to the enclosed instruction and is filled in in tube. It is necessary to fill in solution slowly as at too fast injection just will push out the cleaning liquid outside. Then the hose is located back on the place. After hit of solution in the heat exchanger, it has to be several hours there. If any special recommendations about terms are not specified on packing or vinegar is used, then waiting time averages from 2 to 4 hours. Also there is more expensive way of disposal of scum by means of specialized devices which are connected to column and in closed cycle, that is around, drive the warmed reagents. Thus, the scum decays and is easily washed away with the subsequent draining.
Attenuation of the geyser
If during the work of column there is attenuation, then in most cases it is connected with maloperation of the temperature sensor which is responsible for temperature conditions and does not allow overheating of the equipment. The sensor can be put out of action or have production defect. To solve this problem independently it will not turn out therefore it is necessary to address to the service center at once.
Also the wear of insulating material of the conductor of the sensor can serve as the reason of attenuation. In this case there is short circuit and operation of the safety lock. This problem is solved by replacement of insulating material.
Cottons on column operating time
If during the operation of the geyser cottons are observed, then the weak or big pressure of supply of gas can be the reason for that. At weak pressure oxygen gets into gas that leads to cottons. At high pressure gas can break from torch that also leads to cottons. It is possible to remove this cause simple adjustment of supply of gas then the column has to work steadily.
Gas leak
Leak of gas from the gas equipment is the most dangerous problem. It is possible to determine it by characteristic smell in the apartment. In this case you should not independently try to solve this problem. It is necessary to block gas supply, to open windows and to cause gas service.
