The tile can be stacked in two ways – on pillow basis or on cement slurry. The first way perfectly will be suitable for paving of territories with small surface load. It is cheaper, and it is possible to perform this work and independently.
Laying of tile on cement slurry – quite expensive pleasure demanding certain skill. But if desired and it can be done independently. But on such surface it is possible to park even the truck.
Besides, the tile can be stacked manually or the mechanized way. But the mechanized method is used generally by experts. Owners of owner-occupied dwellings and sites prefer manual method. Before beginning to pave, it is necessary to decide on the territory and places for water drainage. Removal of sedimentary waters is simply necessary that it did not stand on path or site and did not flow down to construction. In order that water flew down from path, tile it is necessary to stack with bias 1-2 degrees towards places of branch. If you assume to do border, then its installation and fastening is made before that laying directly stone blocks.
Stone blocks is stacked in the deepening which is specially made for this purpose depending on what strain will be experienced by paved surface, deepening is done 0.5 m in depth (for intensive loadings) or 0.2 m.
Laying of tile on pillow
The pillow basis or basis becomes in three layers. The first layer represents gravel. It is filled up with depth about 15 cm and before doing the second layer, condensed by means of special vibrorail.
The second layer of pillow is elimination. It is filled up with depth about 7 cm and also condensed. At charge of both of these layers it is necessary to fill up material with stock on consolidation.

- thread (rope, fine wire) in qualities of the equalizer – you will determine flatness of ranks of elements of stone blocks by thread;
- hammer with rubber headband for adjustment of fragments of tile to each other;
- tile;
- the Bulgarian with diamond disk for trimming of surplus of tile if you stack it according to the difficult scheme;
- brush with rigid pile;
- comb;
- palette;
- cement solution;
- hose with the breaker plate or watering can;
- sand or mix of sand and cement.
The tile keeps within according to the chosen scheme in the direction from edge of path or site to places of water drainage on thread. The clearance between two fragments has to be minimum. For this purpose each fragment is taped by rubber hammer. If necessary the edge of the last tile is accurately cut by means of the Bulgarian with diamond disk.
After all territory is paved, it is necessary to process gaps between stone blocks fragments. Seams are filled up with fine sand. If you use gray tile, then it is possible to fill up gaps with sand mix with cement, it will only give to additional durability your path. If your path is color, then it is better e to use cement as as a result the tile can get ugly gray shade.
After sand or mix it is filled up on gaps, it needs to be rubbed there carefully by means of brush with rigid pile. The last stage of work – consolidation of sand in gaps by means of water. All path carefully spills water. After everything dries, it is necessary to check whether there is no emptiness left somewhere. At their detection the procedure needs to be repeated.
Laying of tile on cement slurry
Process of laying of paving slabs on cement slurry is similar to process of laying of tile. Preparation of the territory is made as well as in the above method, only the basis represents gravel of binding and elimination, without sandy layer.
Cement and sand solution is applied on each element of tile, leveled by means of the palette or comb, surplus is removed. The tile keeps within with minimum clearances. Fragments of tile are adjusted to each other by means of the hammer with rubber headband. The tile keeps within according to the chosen scheme. The last among element if necessary is cut off by the Bulgarian with diamond disk.
After all tile is laid, it is necessary to jam seams. They are rubbed clean the same solution which has been used for laying of tile. Solution can be placed between seams in two ways – having gathered it in special gun and having pressed into gaps between fragments of stone blocks or having filled with it gaps by means of the rubber palette. After solution has filled each seam, the surface is left for drying approximately for hour. When solution a little dries up, it needs to be removed by means of brush with rigid pile.
Care for tile
The paving slabs do not demand special care. Fir-trees you have laid normal gray stone blocks, care for it consists only in its cleaning of pollution. At care for color tile it is necessary to observe big care, on such covering even the minimum damages are noticeable. Besides, it is necessary to check quality of seams between tile elements about 1-2 times a year, and with emptiness to rub clean or fill up these defects.
