Mulled wine – the hot alcoholic drink consisting of red wine and spicery. In translation from German the word "mulled wine" means "flaring wine". This drink perfectly copes with the first symptoms of cold, warms in cold weather. In some European countries, mulled wine is considered a symbol of Christmas holidays.

It is required to you

  • Classical mulled wine:
  • - 400 ml of red dry wine;
  • - 2 slices of orange;
  • - 2 slices of a lemon;
  • - 4 tsps of sugar;
  • - 2 sticks of cinnamon;
  • - 4 pieces of a carnation;
  • - 2 pinches of nutmeg.
  • Mulled wine with cream:
  • - 4.5 l of red wine;
  • - 85 g of cinnamon;
  • - 60 g of fresh ginger;
  • - 10 pieces of a carnation;
  • - 30 g of nutmeg;
  • - 20 peas of a black pepper;
  • - 1 kg of sugar;
  • - 2 l of cream.
  • Mulled wine with fruit:
  • - bottle of red wine;
  • - 20 ml of cognac;
  • - 50 g of raisin;
  • - 50 g of sugar;
  • - 3 pieces of a carnation;
  • - 2 pieces of an anise;
  • - 1 stick of cinnamon;
  • - 1 segment of a lemon;
  • - 1 segment of apple.

Instruction

1. Classical recipe. In a pan or the enameled teapot put oranges, lemons, cinnamon, a carnation. Pour sugar and ground nutmeg. Fill in all with wine and put on slow fire. Warm up mulled wine on a plate within 5 minutes. Spill drink on glasses, filtering it through a sieve.

2. Also mulled wine with cream will turn out not less useful and tasty. According to some information, this recipe is more than 400 years old. Small chop ginger. Then put all spices and sugar in a pan. Fill in with red wine. Put on average fire. Drink has to heat up, but not boil. Remove from a plate, add some cream and let's infuse minutes 5-10.

3. There is a recipe of the warming drink with fruit. Mix in the enameled ware raisin, a carnation, an anise, cinnamon, a lemon and apple. Add sugar and fill in with wine. Support drink with cognac. Put on weak fire and warm up mulled wine within 10 minutes. After that let's infuse to "the flaring wine" of minutes five under the closed cover.

4. Mulled wine is recommended to drink at cold, overcooling, exhaustion of an organism, a depression, insomnia. Besides hot wine with spices can be used also in the cosmetic purposes. For example, for rapid growth and giving of volume to hair it is necessary to rub warm mulled wine in head skin and to wash away in 10-15 minutes with shampoo.

5. Do also face packs of this drink. For flabby skin add honey and a citrus to mulled wine. Dilute a small amount of drink with warm boiled water 1:1. Wipe with the turned-out solution a face. Wait for minutes 10 that all nutritive matters were absorbed, then wash and apply nourishing cream.
