Why on the same reservoir with the same tackles and baits one fisher does cutting behind cutting, and another sits without biting? It is all about a bottom relief. Fish during the day moves on a bottom, choosing the most convenient locations, brows or poles. It is possible to define a bottom relief by means of the sonic depth finder or manually.

Instruction
1. Having appeared on a reservoir, pay attention to the course, a coast form, the surface of the current – a lot of things can be defined already from this. For example, the strip on a current formed by water turbulences speaks about a rift, above and below which by all means there is shallow water with holes.
2. Collect a special fishing-rod which will help you to define a bottom relief. Take a usual fishing-rod with the coil, put on a sinker with an ear a fishing line or a wattled cord so that it freely went. Fix a bead and a marker float, cut off a tip of a fishing line. You will be able to determine not only depth, but also the nature of a bottom by this rod.
3. Try to measure bottom depth. For this purpose pull a fishing line so that the bead adjoined to a sinker ear, then lower a sinker in water until the float does not seem on a surface. That it was more convenient to determine depth, it is previously desirable to mark a fishing line by means of a spirit marker or the handle for disks.
4. It is possible to define the nature of a bottom thus: throw a sinker far away, wait until the sinker falls by a bottom, and begin to sip gradually it to yourself. At the same time you hold a fishing-rod at an angle 45 ⁰, you watch closely behavior of its tip.
5. Draw conclusions: the shaking vibrations speak about stony day, easy bending and a podragivaniye – about existence at the bottom of silt, on sand the sinker will smoothly slide, without tension. If on the way seaweed meet, the tip will sharply be bent, the sinker will stick in clay - you will feel it at once.
6. Do conducting smoothly, without breakthroughs. At hit on edge of a hole or on a brow you will feel some resistance.
7. Try to learn a bottom relief by means of "prostukivaniye". Throw cargo, wait for its lowering on a bottom and make 3-4 turns of the coil. Again wait for its lowering – subhanks before falling of cargo note time from a stop.
8. Thus check all bottom: if time of falling is identical, depth is constant. Increase in time speaks about increase in depth and vice versa.
