Industrialization is the economically supported process of transition from craft to large mechanical production thanks to which society passes from development, agrarian and craft to industrial type, upon transition to which the economy begins to develop extensively.
This transition is connected with development of natural sciences and new technologies in the industry, especially in its such industries as metallurgy and energy production. Transition of the state to industrial development requires carrying out certain reforms in policy, the legislation, it is necessary to have enough raw material and cheap human resources. The industry of industrial type is directed to production of the greatest possible quantity of products which gradually develops into the world market of products.
At industrialization the secondary sector of economy (sector of processing of raw materials) begins to prevail over primary sector (production of resources, agriculture.)
The industrial type of development of society helps fast development of scientific disciplines and technologies and their introduction in production, promotes both to increase in income of the population, and growth of number of the population. Process of industrialization began in the 17th century in countries of Western Europe, first of all – Great Britain, in connection with increase in efficiency of farming. It provided growth of the population, and outflow of the appeared excess part of the population to the cities where human resources were necessary in the course of production. Industrialization process considerably accelerated in the 19th century when there was a break of technologies and the internal combustion engine was invented, electricity and electric devices widely began to be used, on production the conveyor appeared. Gradually producers began to be guided by more and more mechanized and knowledge-intensive production allowing to turn out the standardized products for the minimum time at the minimum use of human work.
