The social psychology studies processes which happen in society and their influence on the personality. A subject of its study are regularities, the facts and mechanisms of behavior which arise at communication of people.
Social psychology – scientific discipline which studies the phenomena appearing at communication and direct interaction of people. This science was created in the second half of the 19th century. Till today it remains an allied industry, being on the verge of psychology and sociology. Till this period of knowledge of the person and the world around were studied from philosophical, anthropological, exclusively social party. The separate ideas could be met in Platon's works, Aristotle, Feuerbach and G. Hegel's L. On the basis of them the new scientific direction in which several disciplines united at once began to be blocked.
Subject of social psychology
There are four bases which define an object of science: - characteristic of the individual, as participant of society;
- communication of people, their interaction; - groups and communities as complete formations; - mechanisms of social impact on the subject.
Respectively, within the industry, psychological processes which are formed and shown when there is an interaction of the person to surrounding people or groups are studied. As a result of it there are such traits of character as sociability, aggression, conflictness, an emotivnost and some other. The important role on behavior of the person is rendered by a phenomenon of interaction between individuals. It can be shown in the system of parental and children's, matrimonial, pedagogical, administrative relationship. Psychological processes in science are considered as property of separate social communities. The mass mental phenomena, for example, behavior of crowd, panic concern them.
Problems of social psychology
One of the main tasks is studying structure and mechanisms of the phenomena happening in society. Problems of public installations, socialization and also characteristics of social communities are for this purpose analyzed. The social psychology reveals those factors which influence dynamics of the social and psychological phenomena. On their basis forecasts which are the basis for promotion of recommendations and offers are built. They are directed to optimization of management of these processes. Further they are applied to increase in competence of the person and permission of the arising problems of psychological character. Thus, in social psychology of people is considered as the subject of the social relations. Its conscious activity is the quality determined by inclusiveness in interaction with society.
