3. Breathe on a stone. The real diamond will not dim, and the fake for several seconds "will grow dim".

4. Carefully rub diamond an emery paper. If in the course of it there were scratches, then it is a fake. However the diamond crumb should not be a part of such paper, otherwise it is possible to spoil a stone.
