On production or in life in the course of adjustment, adjustment and operation of the power plants incorporating the electric motor quite often it is required to define the direction of rotation of a shaft of the engine. Sometimes it can be established directly on operation of the mechanism. And how to be if such skilled observation is impossible?
It is required to you
- - battery from the pocket torch;
- - voltmeter with a scale 3-7B.
Instruction
1. For definition of the direction of rotation of the direct current motor in the simplest case use the available connection diagrams and markings on the case of the mechanism. The direction of rotation is usually specified in the description to installation or is designated by the corresponding conventional signs which are unambiguously allowing to establish how the engine shaft at any given type of connection rotates.
2. If the technical specification and marking are absent, define the direction of rotation by practical consideration. For this purpose prepare the voltmeter of a magnetoelectric system having a scale 3-7B. At the same time it is not required to turn on the device in an electrical network.
3. Connect the voltmeter to engine anchor clips. Slowly turn an anchor in the direction clockwise (or against it). Note the largest size of a deviation of an arrow of the measuring device.
4. Then give tension to a winding of excitement 2-4B. For this purpose the battery from the pocket torch or the accumulator of such polarity at which the deviation of an arrow of the device increases will fit. Note polarity of the battery attached to excitement winding terminals and also polarity of connection of the voltmeter to contacts of an anchor of the engine.
5. At turning on of the engine in network adhere to the same polarity, and the direction of rotation of the engine will be the same, as well as when carrying out experience with the battery. For an example it is admissible that the voltmeter was attached to the "plus" clip of an anchor which is conditionally designated by Ya1. You rotated an anchor in the direction of the course of an hour hand, and increase in a deviation of an arrow was observed at connection of a "plus" clip of network to contacts of Ya1 and Sh1, therefore, the engine will begin to rotate clockwise.
6. If conditions of check allow short-term turning on of the engine in an electrical circuit, then determine the direction of rotation by the initial or final movement of a shaft. Rather single short-term giving of operating voltage in a device chain that the engine itself specified in what direction it rotates at the set scheme of connection.
