Instruction
1. Use any heavy subject to deform diamond. The real stone cannot be damaged as has very dense structure. If diamond managed to be spoiled, before you a fake.
2. Sprinkle tiny drops of water a diamond surface. Stick with a sharp needle into the formed droplets. If they keep the form and do not spread, diamond original. If is not present, then before you a fake.
3. Lower a stone in glass with water. If you accurately see mineral in water, it is real. If diamond became almost indiscernible, it is a fake.
4. Squeeze and with a force rub diamond between two large coins. If it was damaged, scratches were formed or just crumbled, diamond not real.
5. Breathe at a stone. Diamonds are excellent conductors of heat therefore if you have in hands real diamond, on it condensate will not accumulate.
6. With a force rub an emery paper on all surface of diamond. On gemstone there should not be traces. If the seller gives diamond for real, but at the same time forbids to carry out a similar inspection, do not even doubt: offer you a fake.
7. Place diamond on the newspaper text. If you distinguish letters irrespective of, clearly or turbid, your gemstone – counterfeit diamond. Gloss of original diamond refracts light so strongly that you will not be able to make out something through it.
8. Look for shortcomings. Diamonds are not ideal, even the best samples have tiny defects. If the stone is absolutely faultless, be skeptical about it.
9. Use the special device - a tester of authenticity of diamond. This convenient device costs rather much, but if you the diamonds hunter, it can become irreplaceable and successful investment.
