Each of us paid attention to how after consumption of lollipops with berry taste the language could be painted in pinkish or reddish color. It is clear, that food color is added to similar sweeties though not all dyes leave a mark. Sometimes they only add color, taste or a smell to some product. However food colors not always are safe.

Colors are food (natural) and chemical.

Those which receive from juice of vegetables, fruit or from leaves of plants belong to natural (natural) colors. Such substances are safe and have considerable amount of useful properties.

Chemical dyes are those synthetic connections which can't be found in the nature. They are created in the artificial way. Such dyes are marked by letter E.

List of especially dangerous and harmful dyes

E102 – coal tar. It is present at yogurts, carbonated drinks, confectionery. Why it is harmful? Such substance can lead to allergic reactions and hyperactivity at children.

E104 – this dye is added to chewing gums and caramel. The increased concentration leads to defeat of the top layer of an epithelium.

E110 – contains in preservation, instant soups, ketchups, ice cream and alcohol. Its use is capable to provoke indigestion and also to become the cause of nausea and pseudo-cold.

E122 – the synthetic coloring matter causing serious allergic reaction. It is added to jam and jams.

E124 – excess consumption of products with the content of this artificial substance can lead to various diseases and pathologies of internals and also to a gene mutation. It is added to candies, canned food, cottage cheese desserts.

E129 – provokes development of oncological diseases and growth of cancer cells. This dye can be found in cosmetics, lipstick and covers of medicines.

E132 – is added to cookies, soft drinks. Can worsen a condition of patients with cardiovascular diseases and also those people who have asthma.
