So-called vibroconverters were widespread before creation of semiconductor devices. Today such converter can be used for demonstration of the principle of its work, for example, at a physics lesson. It is possible to make it on out-of-school classes by forces of pupils.
Instruction
1. Take any relay which is surely working at a tension on the coil, equal 12 V. Tok through his winding at this tension should not exceed 50 ma. One more requirement to the relay - existence at least one group of normally closed contacts. So contacts which are closed in the absence of tension on a winding are called and are disconnected at its emergence. In fact, such relay is the simplest logical inverter. Converters of tension of any design also sometimes are called inverters, but for absolutely other reason.
2. Connect a relay winding consistently to any of its groups of normally closed contacts. Parallel to this chain turn on the paper or ceramic condenser of any capacity. It is also possible to turn on the 1N4007 diode in the polarity opposite to a similar indicator of the power supply. Do not include it in direct polarity at all, otherwise the source will be short-circuited.
3. Connect parallel to a relay winding a tiny neon lamp, for example, TN-0.2, TN-0.3, INS-1, NE-2 type. Contacts to a zashuntiruyta condenser similar to that, which zashuntirovana power-supply circuit.
4. Give food from a 12-volt source on the converter through two pomekhopodavitelny throttles (on one to each wire).
5. Do not touch converter details as in it high voltage is developed. The proof of it is the bright luminescence of a neon lamp which, as we know, at a voltage of 12 V is disabled.
6. If the neon lamp which electrodes can be considered separately (for example, NE-2 type) is used, pay attention to what of its electrodes shines. On it negative tension arrives. Compare polarity of tension on a lamp with polarity of connection of the power supply. How they are connected with each other, read in the textbook by physics.
7. That the converter almost did not create hindrances, besides condensers and throttles, equip it with also screened metal casing. For an exit outside of light from a neon bulb make in it an opening.
