Magnetic field is not perceived by sense organs of the person. In order that to see it, the special device is necessary. He allows to observe a form of power lines of magnetic field in a three-dimensional look.
Instruction
1. Prepare a device basis - a plastic bottle. It is undesirable to apply glass as it can be broken during experiments by a magnet, tools or other metal objects. The bottle has to have a sticker only on the one hand. If a sticker circular, remove one of its half and if it is absent at all, paint over one side of a bottle white paint. The light background on which power lines are most noticeable will turn out.
2. Settle down in any room, except kitchen. Lay the newspaper on a table, put on protective gloves. Clip on it unnecessary scissors of sawdust from an old metal bast for washing of ware. Wrap a magnet in a package and completely collect by this adaptation sawdust. Insert a funnel into a bottle neck, and then, having placed adaptation over a funnel, remove a magnet from a package. Sawdust will separate from a package and will fall through a funnel in a bottle. Do not allow hit of sawdust on a floor and any surrounding objects, especially clothes, footwear and food at all! Now fill a bottle almost up to the top with transparent and safe oil then densely to a zakuporta. Carefully wash up the ready device outside from residues of oil.
3. Mix sawdust with oil, rotating a bottle. It is simple to stir up it inefficiently. Now bring to it a magnet, and sawdust will be built according to a form of power lines. To prepare the device for the following experience, remove a magnet and again mix sawdust with oil as it is stated above.
4. Try to observe power lines of fields of magnets of various form. Sketch or photograph them. Think why they have such form, look for the answer to this question in the textbook by physics. Try to explain why the device does not react to variation magnetic fields, for example, from transformers.
