How to support pressure

For power supply of the pneumatic system compressed air use the complex consisting of the compressor and the special strong tank - a receiver. It is necessary for normal work of a system that pressure in a receiver was supported to constants. The automatic regulator comes to the rescue.

Instruction

1. For control of pressure in a receiver use the special sensor with the powerful disconnected contacts. The threshold of its operation can be fixed (as, for example, at the ZCh003785 device) or regulated (as at the MDR2 sensor). Do not use sensors with the fixed threshold exceeding the admissible pressure of a receiver, and when using the sensor with an adjustable threshold - do not expose pressure above limit.

2. If the sensor is calculated on the current consumed by the compressor engine, and the engine is single-phase, just include contact group in a rupture of a power-supply circuit of the engine. In case the engine powerful and furthermore - three-phase, use for its switching the intermediate contactor with suitable parameters (tension and a sort of current of power supply of the coil, rated current of contact groups).

3. In large compressors for control of engines electronic switchboards are used. In this case the sensor has to be also electronic. It has no contacts. Choose the sensor of this kind that it was compatible with switchboards in parameters and the protocol of data exchange. It is the best of all to use control units with the built-in sensors, for example, of the EDS series. Connect the engine to the block, and the block - to network. Using the menu, set pressure which needs to be supported. It has to be no more than on what the receiver is designed.

4. Surely install the safety valve on the compressor. It has to be calculated on pressure which is higher than the threshold established on the sensor, but below limit for a receiver.

5. Having turned on the compressor in network and having started it. In case of use of the three-phase engine first of all make sure that it rotates in the necessary party. If it turns out that is not present, immediately power off, trade places two any phases and again include.

6. Control pressure on the manometer. At the time of achievement of the set limit the engine has to be switched-off. After that begin selection of air from a receiver. When pressure falls below set (taking into account a hysteresis), the engine has to turn on again. It is undesirable to use sensors and control units without hysteresis as frequent inclusions and switching off are harmful to the engine.
