Many trees can live in the millennia if living conditions favor to it. The age of some of trees known nowadays is more, than age of the whole civilizations and dynasties.

1. The most famous long-livers from the world of trees are hidden from public eyes, and coordinates do not report them anywhere to save a plant from vandalism. Until recently was considered that the most long-living tree is a pine which was named Mathusela, growing in the White mountains of California. Partially that grove in which the pine grows is open for visit, but the location of a tree is kept the most strict secret. Mathusela still remains to the oldest of recent an individual organism on our planet.
2. The pine Mathusela is known under the names "intermountain Awned pine", "Awned Pine of the Big Pool", "western Awned pine". This look presently under the threat of disappearance as lives only in Nevada, California and the State of Utah. Awned pines very slowly grow, having dense resinous wood. To appreciate age of this in appearance not remarkable pine, it is worth looking at it in the context of history. 4. Quite recently the group of researchers found fir-tree young growth in Sweden on the Mount Fulu. The radio-carbon analysis showed that the age of one of these fir-trees approaches nine-thousand anniversary. The trunk growing on an old root, much more young. This fir-tree found still Ice Age thanks to the ability to wait the adverse period, completely slowing down a metabolism and actually dying for indefinite time. Global warming provoked the beginning of growth of this fir-tree thanks to what it also was found. Two fir-trees growing at a row concede it aged - to them 4 and 5 thousand years respectively. Experts decided that this fir-tree long-liver one of the first, appeared after Ice Age on our planet.
