Why to bees honey

Why to bees honey

Honey – a unique product which part a huge number of minerals, important for the person, is. It is widely known that honey is made by bees, but why it this insect?

As honey is produced

Honey is the main component of a winter diet of bees. In fact, he helps them to survive during cold weather. In warm season of a bee collect flower nectar for production of honey. Nectar contains a large amount of water therefore bees perform many operations to remove from it excess water. This process happens due to evaporation which is provided with heat and ventilation of a beehive. Besides, bees add enzymes of own bodies to honey to transform flower nectar to food and "to preserve" it. In the course of maturing, honey is repeatedly shifted from a cell in a cell, every time adding the preserving substance. Honey ripens from eight to ten days. After it ripens, bees seal cells the thinnest layer of wax to prevent fermentation of honey which is used by bees in food as required.

Honey has a number of positive properties. It improves a metabolism, has bactericidal qualities, renders the toning and anti-inflammatory effects. Honey contributes to normalization of a dream.

Other types of bee food

Bees collect not only flower nectar, but also flower pollen. The last is protein feed for bees. Dense lumps of pollen of a bee are put in separate cells of hundreds, well stamped, and atop fill in honey. It is called pergy, it is a basis of proteinaceous food of bees. That is these insects eat liquid food (honey and not transformed nectar) and firm. If in droughty summer there is not enough flower nectar, bees begin to do honey of sweet allocations of other insects – listobloshka, a scale or a plant louse. Bees collect allocations of these insects from leaves of plants. Honey dew and sugary substances of plants is one more source of raw materials for honey. The fir, a fir-tree, a linden, an oak, a maple, a willow, a hazel grove, an apple-tree and other trees give a bee raw materials for padevy honey.

The real high-quality honey very seldom causes allergic reaction even in the most "difficult" allergic persons. Most often the negative effect is rendered by the impurity and additives which are contained in low-quality honey.

Such honey is not less valuable, than flower, but as a winter diet is not suitable for bees as in it there are too much mineral salts. People, breeding bees, take away a considerable part of honey for themselves. If not to compensate to bees the taken-away honey, insects can die from hunger. Therefore beekeepers feed up bees in the winter dense sugar syrup which can partially replace honey.
