Sebastian Buemi who won together with Alonso and Nakadzhima in the World Cup in the endurance racing (WEC) 2018/2019 of years, told that he talked to the Spaniard about transition to Formula E.
After many years of the full kocentration of Alonso on royal races began to participate in the 2017th races of other championships, from Indy500 prior to the endurance racing, and even carried out tests driving cars of the series NASCAR and the rally raid Dakar.
The Spaniard emphasizes that he wants to be the most versatile racer in the world – now when he achieved everything that he wanted in the highest category of motorsport and collects triumphs in such legendary races as Le Mans or Dighton, it is ready to any experiments.
So far Alonso didn't announce the plans for the next season. Except possible participation in rally raids for the purpose of preparation for the following Dakar, there are many opportunities, since DTM where to it already made the proposal. But there are also other categories which can interest asturiytsya.
His workmate in WEC Sebastian Buemi who won together with Fernando and Kazuki Nakadzhima the World Cup in the endurance racing, told that Formula E where it chases, is one of possible options
"We spoke about many different things, and also discussed Formula E. Fernando has before himself some more purposes which wants to reach in the career and if to come to Formula E, it is the compromise because it is the full season, and it means that it will be very difficult to combine this series with something", - Buemi told.
Nevertheless, the pilot of Nissan recognizes that it is difficult for Spaniard to make the decision concerning participation in the electric championship: "He is positive to this idea, he speaks about it, but from this moment and before when it can be seen in Formula E car, still the long way, and I don't know that he will solve in the future".
In 2017 Alonso was already asked about Formula E, but he told that it doesn't interest him... at that time.
"Perhaps, sometime I will be a little more interested, but now I have no opinion on this series", - he told then.
Buemi described how he worked near Alonso in Toyota Gazoo Racing, and recognized that it will lack the Spaniard: "It actually was very easy. I already knew Alonso earlier, of course, I expected to see something else, but eventually I was very happy how all this occurred. Of course, we won Le Mans twice, and fulfilled the dream.
It will be sad that it won't be in the car in Silverstone during the first race of the next season of WEC".
According to provisions of statutes of FIA, now any change of sports regulations of F1 for 2020 can be received only in unanimous coordination of all teams.
Changes in the International sports code (ISC) can be even more difficult as behind it there are all races under the auspices of FIA therefore only Formulas 1 can't concern.
