1. Pay attention to teeth of an animal, on them you will determine the age.
2. With puppies it is the simplest, on teeth their age can be determined literally about one weeks. At the birth the puppies have no teeth at all, they begin to be cut through for 20-25 day, and cutters and canines on the lower jaw appear several days later top. When to a puppy month is executed, it has already all foreteeth.
3. When the puppy absolutely small, on crowns of his cutters is available on three ledges, in a form reminding a shamrock. Later "shamrocks" on milk teeth begin to disappear. On hooks (that is, front cutters) the lower jaw they disappear in two and a half months, on average teeth of the lower jaw – at the age of three-three and a half months, and on okrayka (back cutters) of the lower jaw – by four months. These terms can vary a little depending on quality of food of a puppy and feeding boughs.
4. Between four and five months at puppies milk teeth begin to change. All teeth both on top, and on the lower jaw change practically at the same time. Change of cutters usually happens within a month, and by five-six months there are canines, and mandibular for 10-12 days later maxillary. At assessment of age of a puppy do not forget that large dogs advance small in development. Also from poor food at a puppy the change of teeth can be delayed.
5. So, at the age of about a year the dog has a complete set of teeth. White teeth, brilliant, not begun to be erased yet. However by eighteen months, hooks of the lower jaw begin to be erased. By two years they are already erased, and averages begin to be erased. By two and a half years the average cutters are also erased, teeth begin to grow dull.
6. Since three years also hooks of the upper jaw begin to be erased. You can see that the surface of the erased teeth has a squared shape.
7. At the age of four years on the upper jaw average cutters begin to be erased, and in five years there are stupid canines. In six years of an okrayka on the upper jaw at a dog have no ledges any more. Canines turn yellow, become covered by a scale at the basis.
8. In seven years the hooks on the lower jaw take the oval form again. In the same time the canines become finally stupid. In eight-nine years of an oval form there are average cutters on the lower jaw, and in nine-ten years – hooks on the upper jaw. Canines at an animal at this age of yellow color.
9. Since ten-twelve years at a dog teeth begin to drop out. However it can also vary depending on pitaniye and conditions which contained an animal.
