For training of a puppy to lie on command, differently called laying, the persistence and endurance will be necessary for you.
Instruction
1. Start working off of the team "Lie!" after fulfilled and fixed other main teams with a puppy: "Place!", "To me!", "Foo!", "It is impossible!", "Is not present!", "Row!", "to Sit!".
2. At first put the little puppy the team "Sit!". Wait a little, then take the laid-up delicacy (the cheese cut on very small pieces, granules of a dry feed, cookies pieces for dogs, etc.) and bring it to the pet's nose. Having ordered "to Lie!", at the same time lower a hand with delicacy at first down to forepaws of a puppy, then take away a hand strictly forward. Having reached for delicacy, the puppy will be forced to lay down not to fall, having lost balance. Press the left hand to it on withers a little down if he made it not up to the end. As soon as the puppy lays down completely, at once treat him.
3. If your puppy already was three months old, put on to him a lead and seat him near yourself. Having bent over the pet, take him for the left shoulder, directly over an elbow joint (or for a forearm from an elbow), and the right hand – for right. Having given the command "Lie!", wait a moment, then raise his forepaws over a floor a little, having slightly pulled them forward. Having lost balance, the puppy will lay down not to fall. Praise it by a quiet voice when he makes it up to the end. Wait ten seconds, tell "Well!", allow it to rise and play with it.
4. Work team on ten times a day. You have to achieve that your puppy learned to remain in lying situation not less than fifteen seconds.
