Removal of measures is the first and, perhaps, the main moment when tailoring any clothes. If you are going to sew for the child, follow the following rules. Then the clothes made with own hands will not constrain the movement of the kid and will comfortably sit.

1. For removal of measures you need a measuring tape (centimeter). It should not be old and stretched, figures have to be accurately visible.
2. The child has to be dressed in romper suit or underwear which has to sit densely, without folds.
3. There are about ten main types of measures. At first rather hardly tie an inelastic tape on the child's waist. At small children the waist is not pronounced therefore, having tied with the kid, ask it to move, poprisedat. The tape will rise on the place. Measure on it a waist grasp. After receiving this measure, do not remove a tape, it is required at other measurements.
4. Writing down the received results you remember that length and width register completely, and a circle – in a vague size.
5. Basic measures are: - chest (arrange centimeter strictly horizontally on the most acting sites on shovels and on a breast); - a grasp of hips (make measurement on the most acting points of hips and buttocks); - back length (measure distance from the seventh cervical vertebra (at a ducking he acts stronger than the others) to a waistline; - circumference (carry out measurement by the widest part of the head); - sleeve length which pays off together with a half of width of a back (let the child will extend a hand aside, and you apply centimeter from a wrist to a shoulder and through it – to a backbone).
6. Also additional measures will be necessary for you for trousers: - sitting height (put the child on a firm, plain surface and measure distance from it to waist level); - length of trousers (it is measured on a sideline from a waist to a stone on an ankle or to a floor, but then from the received number subtract 4 cm). And for a dress: - a neck circle (without pulling centimeter take measurements around the neck basis); - length (it is measured the same as length of a back, but not to a waist, and to the desirable level of a dress. To receive this measure for a skirt, measure on a sideline distance from a waist to that place where the skirt has to come to an end).
