Many adults with heat remember how they were going to go to school: chose a form, a portfolio and other attributes of future school student. Being children, they waited when there comes this moment, to become the school student meant that they moved to other level, became more adult and are more serious. Today many children of 6-7 years want to go to school, but children who categorically against or are afraid of approach of this event meet more and more. 

Why the child does not want to go to school?

To help the child to be prepared for school and to motivate him to study, it is necessary to understand the reasons of lack of desire at the child to go to school. Treat the main reasons: 

  • Formation by parents of negative attitude to school at the child. No, it does not mean at all that parents constantly tell the kid, what bad school. But they can do it unconsciously, for example, in case the child slowly gathers, parents say to him: "And here at school nobody will wait for you!".   • Too active preparation. At the age of 6-7 years many parents begin active intellectual training of the child for school. The preschool child's courses, lessons of a foreign language, fast reading, mental arithmetics, plus in a makeweight of a mug and section, for harmonious development, and the child so is tired that the thought that the school also will be added to all this, brings it into despondency and grief.
  • Too well is to the child at home. Some parents are so anxious with creation for the child indoors of "paradise" that the child does not want to leave it. Houses love it, load with presents toys, pay much attention, preserve against various difficulties, forgive all pranks, execute any whims, and outside "paradise" it should carry out school rules, to obey the strict teacher, to learn to interact with schoolmates, that is real "hell". How to motivate the child to go to school?

There is a number of recommendations which will allow parents to remove fear of school, to create positive ideas of it and to motivate to go to study: 

  • About school - it is only positive. To try not to speak about school in a negative way, not to frighten the child. It is possible to share the experience with the kid and positive emotions about school, to tell about how passed the first of September what was the first teacher. It is desirable to tell couple of funny stories from school life. At the same time everything has to sound most plausibly. 
  • To esteem with the child of the book about school, to watch animated films (especially in this plan the Soviet animated films are good), to study rules of conduct at school as there will take place classes as it is possible to behave at a lesson. The more the child will know, the it is less than uncertainty which frightens him. 
  • To play school: let he will stay as the pupil, the teacher. It is possible to posobirat a portfolio: that it is useful at school and what is not present. 
  • Excellent step will be to visit school at which he will study with the child, to acquaint him with the teacher, to show an office in which there will pass lessons. 
  • To try to involve as much as possible the child in preparation for school. Let he will choose a backpack, a case, a form, covers on textbooks, handles, pencils and other stationery.
  • To remind a thicket that the school is an important stage what to be a school student - it it is good and honourable that having started going to school, the child becomes more adult and it is cleverer. 
  • Not to compare the child to other children of the same age: "Here Dasha already considers integrals, and you even 3 + 2 cannot count". Children at the age of 6-7 years develop unevenly, and it is enough to someone to see once to master, and someone needs much more time. Therefore it is important to praise the child for his success, motivating it to study further: "Earlier you could spell, and already read almost like adult.
