Instruction
1. To integrate computers in a local area network, it is necessary to buy the necessary equipment. Buy "hub" (the number of ports should correspond to the number of personal computers or exceed it), a patch cord (the special cable connecting computers in a local area network), network interface cards (if there are no built in).
2. In specialized shop "press out" a patch cord. You can make it independently, but be careful, the communication quality directly depends on it.
3. Select a location of "hub". It should be approximately at identical distance from each computer. Connect it to network.
4. Install network interface cards in motherboards of each PC and install drivers for them. It is desirable to download the latest version of the driver from the website of vendor.
5. Insert a patch cord into the port of "hub", and other end - into the network interface card of the computer. After that the green bulb should light up. Do it for each personal computer.
6. Now it is necessary to configure network for games. Come into "Control panel" and into properties of a local area network. It is necessary to specify the IP address for each PC. The first computer should have address 192.168.0.1, the second – 192.168.0.2 and so on, depending on the number of computers. A subnet mask specify 225.225.225.0. Now come into the command line and enter 192.168.0.1-t. If the line "the answer from …" went, connection means it is configured correctly. Do such operation, respectively, for each computer.
7. Come into a game. Select the Local area network mode. One of personal computers should create connection when you key "host". After creation of servers from other computers it is necessary to click "connection".
