The Internet became the means of communication, way of earnings and the vacation spot long ago. Unfortunately, almost at once it was turned into a source of terrible danger by cyber-thieves and cyber-hooligan. The unprotected or poorly protected Internet connection can threaten you with leak of personal or business information, damage of data on the hard drive, monetary losses.
Instruction
1. In a cyberspace of light intensity continue fight against darkness forces – developers of browsers think out new ways of protection against malicious applications and the websites – their distributors.
To configure the Internet Exploer settings, in the main menu select item "Service" and the option "Internet Options". Icons of four safety zones into which IE divides all websites are reflected in the Safety tab.
2. The zone Internet by default included all websites, except for what you independently selected other status. For it the security level above the average is set by default. If you want to change settings, press the Other button.
"The local intranet" is a local area network which switched on your computer. It is supposed that contents of the local websites are safe for the computers entering it. The security level by default "below an average".
"Reliable nodes" integrate those websites of which safety are sure. To add the website to this zone, note its icon and press the Nodes button, enter the web address and click "Add". In the Websites window the list of the websites which enter the safe area is displayed.
In the same way you can add the website to the zone "Limited Nodes". Access to the website will not be blocked – just their active contents will not be able to perform any operations on your computer.
3. When you visit some site, it leaves on the hard drive of your computer of a tag - "cookies" thanks to which identifies you at your next visit. In the Confidentiality tab you can create the list of the managed websites who have enough or it is authorized to leave cookies on your computer. Enter the relevant data into the Website Address window, and then click "Resolve" or "Prohibit".
4. In the Contents tab you can change parameters of autocompletion of an address bar, names and passwords in forms. This function simplifies life to both you, and the one who will want to use your login and the password – well think whether it is worth involving it. In the section "Access Restriction to Information Obtained from the Internet" you can resolve or prohibit access from your computer to those resources which can have an adverse effect of members of your family.
5. In In the addition tab pay attention to points allowing activity of active contents on your computer – checkboxes near them should be deselected.
6. The browser Mozilla Firefox the same as Internet Exploer, safeguards Internet connections. For setup of its parameters come into the Tools paragraph of the main menu and select the option "Setup".
You can specify in the Contents tab to the browser how to arrive with active contents of the different websites – use the Exceptions and In addition buttons.
7. In the Privacy tab you are offered to resolve or prohibit any given websites to leave cookies on your computer, to delete the history of visits of the websites, passwords and other that can break somehow your anonymity on the Internet.
8. In the Protection tab you can select the master password not to remember the password for each resource on which are registered.
