The files of scripts used in work of the websites almost always contain a set of instructions in a normal text format. These instructions made in any programming language of the high level are read out and executed or the software of the server, or go to the browser of the visitor and are executed in the web surfer's computer. Loading of files of this sort on the server almost does not differ from the same operation for files with the HTML-code of pages of the website.
Instruction
1. If you have an access to the control panel of the website, use for loading of any files including scripts, one of its modules - the manager of files. The uniform standard for all systems does not exist therefore it is necessary to specify the sequence of actions in the help to your version of a management system. For example, in the file manager of the UCOZ system it is necessary to pass into the necessary folder, consistently clicking links in the column "Name", and then to press the Browse button placed under the table. Find the file of a script in the opened dialog box and click the Open button, and then click on the Load the File button.
2. Other way can be applied if the hosting company with which your website is placed allows access to the server under the ftp-protocol. The special program - the ftp-client is for this purpose necessary. After input of the address of the ftp-server, the login, the password, and connection establishment you need to find the file with a script in the left panel - in it the tree of folders of the local computer usually is located. And in the right panel by means of the same directory tree pass into the necessary folder on the server. Then drag or double-click a script - and the application will move to the specified directory.
3. It is possible not to move the file from the local computer, and to use an option of creation of the file on the server - make it, for example, by means of the same manager of files of the control panel of the website. At the same time in the browser the form with a set of fields among which there will be also a data entry field of contents of this file will be displayed for filling.
4. Open the source file of a script in the computer - it can be done any text editor. Select all code lines, copy them and transfer to the field of the form opened in the browser. Do not forget to specify correctly in this form expansion of the created file, otherwise the script will not be identified by the software of the server.
