The Samsung phones are issued on the basis of the J2ME, Android, Bada and Windows Mobile platforms. Applications for work with ICQ exist for any of them. Will not earn ICQ only from very cheap Samsung phones where there is no Java even.
Instruction
1. Irrespective of on what platform your phone is constructed, carry out its competent preparation for installation and the ICQ setup. Begin with check of access point (APN). It should have the following name:
- internet.mts.ru (for MTS);
- internet.beeline.ru (for Beeline);
- internet (for MegaFon).
Remember that even the small spelling error of the name of access point is capable to increase data transmission cost in several dozen (!) times. If your operator provides unlimited Internet access on conditions, favorable to you, connect this service.
2. ICQ clients for the J2ME platform can be used not only on the Samsung phones where there is only Java, but also on models on the Android or Bada platform. In the first case, it is necessary to install the special emulator - Microemu. By the way, by means of the same emulator the J2ME-application can be started also on the normal computer. The choice of clients for this platform is very broad. Among them Jimm is most widespread, but recently gain popularity of Mail.Ru the Agent (in the mode of compatibility with ICQ) and the official client of ICQ for J2ME.
3. On the Samsung phone constructed on the Android platform or install already mentioned Microemu emulator, and over it - one of clients of ICQ intended for the J2ME platform or use the official client of ICQ for Android.
4. On the Bada platform the applications for J2ME are started without installation of any additional emulators. But if you want to avoid decline in production because of use of the emulator, use the client of BadaICQ.
5. In Windows Mobile it is possible to install a J2ME-application not always - everything depends on whether there is virtual Java machine in your phone model. If it is absent, it is better not to resort to use of emulators as for the Windows platform of Mobile they almost all paid. Install on phone the official client of ICQ intended especially for Windows Mobile.
6. Start the client, enter UIN and the password then start communication.
