If you decided not to use services of any given website any more, on it it is better to delete the account. Also it is necessary to arrive at registration under a new nickname that the old account record did not spoil the inactivity statistics of a resource.
Instruction
1. Enter on the website under the login and the password. Find in the menu point under the name "Parameters", "Settings", "My Profile" or similar. Sometimes the page of settings is loaded when clicking own nickname in the page upper right corner.
2. After loading of the page of settings select on it the link which can be called "Account parameters", "Security settings", etc. On the loaded page you will find fields for input of the current and new passwords, date of birth and other data. If there is a field for show "Delete the account", put it, enter the current password in the field intended for it, and then click "Save", "Update" or similar.
3. At absence in the options page of safety of a tick for removal of a profile look for the separate point intended for this purpose in the menu of settings. Having clicked on the corresponding link, wait for loading of the page of removal of a profile and press the Delete button. If the question "You Really Wish to Delete the Account" is in addition asked after that, click "Yes".
4. On some websites the removal of the account by its owner is not provided. Only the administrator can make it. Do not contact for this purpose him publicly at all (for example, at a forum) - it can be apprehended by other users of the website as trolling. Use function of exchange of private messages (privat) or e-mail. Also you do not ask to delete together with a profile and all your old public messages at all. Perhaps, they bear useful information for other participants.
5. At last, if you were not helped by any of the ways considered above, just long do not log in the account. On some websites the profiles which long were not active are removed - manually the administrator or automatically server. The period of inactivity of the user after which pro-procession its account is removed usually is half a year.
