How to lift a web the server

Web the server is a server which accepts http requests from clients and transfers them http-answers. A mini web the server – the personal computer with the installed special software by means of which there is information exchange. Apache, IIS and others can be the installed software.

Instruction

1. The web the IIS 7.5 server is a part of the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems. IIS includes a set of components which are called services of roles.

2. Installing IIS, define the list of components which is required for the solution of tasks. For this purpose analyze requirements imposed to the server deployed a web, and install matching components. Remember that "golden mean" is important: installation of unnecessary components will lead to decline in production, and the limited configuration will negatively affect functionality of the server.

3. In the Problems of Initial Setup window click the option "Add a Role" then click "Add". Then select a checkbox opposite to the Web Server point and click "Further".

4. After definition of service of roles click "Further", and then the Install button. On the end of installation of the monitor the report on the done operation will be displayed.

5. In an installed software select the option "Add a Web the Website" from the Websites context menu. In the opened window enter website parameters (name, an actual path, bindings and other information). For work with the website press the Connect as button and in the opened dialog box enter attributes of the user on behalf of whom the resource will open.

6. After you create a web the website, execute its configuration. To configure recording, use the element located in the main part of the IIS console. Pay attention to the choice of parameters of recording: the choice of too large number of fields can lead a server web to noticeable increase in the size of log files and, as a result, reduction of performance.
