Computers with operating systems of Windows are delivered complete with the standard Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, Mac computers – with the Safari Apple browser. These browsers, or clients for web browsing, are browsers by default and, as we know, are inferior to many competitors in the speed of loading of the websites.
Instruction
1. Popular browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome are installed by the user independently. But here ill luck: at start of labels of web pages or when opening of the saved pages and also when following the hyperlinks in documents, the websites all the same open in the standard browser. How to set the new browser the browser by default?
At the first start of the browser, whether it be Chrome or Opera, or any other Web browser, in a main window you will see the notification which will suggest to set this browser by default with possible answers "Yes" and "Canceling". Select "Yes" and to this browser all functions of the Web browser on this operating system will be delegated.
2. If you clicked "Canceling" at the first start of the browser, i.e. passed the first step, you should not despair. In that case, come into "Start-up", "Control panel", select small or large icons and find the Programs by Default point.
3. Before you the window of delegation of powers for the software – "The choice of the programs used by Windows by default" will open. Select the very first link "Task of Programs by Default" and wait for loading of the installed applications.
4. At the left you will find the installed browser in the narrow block, click it once. Now you will see below two buttons noted by green arrows. At first click "Use this program by default", then "Select defaults for this program". You will pass into a new window in which it is required to note all expansions and protocols a tick then to click "Save" also in the previous window-OK.
On it the browser is set by default.
