How to cook kissel from a cranberry

Kissel – fragrant and tasty drink from a fruit or berry juice and starch. It is possible to prepare his houses in several ways. You can buy ready powder and cook kissel, according to the instruction on packing. But preparation of drink from fresh berries, for example will be more tasty and more useful than a cranberry. Such kissel is rich with vitamin C and is very useful.

It is required to you

  • - 50 g is fresher than a cranberry;
  • - 2 tsps of starch;
  • - 3 tablespoons of sugar;
  • - 250 g of water.

Instruction

1. Touch a cranberry. For this purpose remove all garbage: branches, leaves, rotten berries, insects, blades and so on. Then well wash out a baking plate a stream of cold water, having placed a cranberry in a sieve or a colander. Wait until water flows down, and pour a cranberry into a bowl. Crush berries a fork or a spoon, merge the emitted juice in other capacity. Shift pulp of a cranberry in a pan, fill in with hot water and you cook 5 minutes after boiling.

2. Remove a pan from fire, cool its contents a little and filter through a sieve. Connect cranberry broth and the pure juice which is squeezed out before, put sugar and put on fire. Bring to the boil and remove from a plate.

3. Dissolve starch in a small amount of water, and then a thin stream pour in hot juice, at the same time constantly stir slowly that it wasn't formed lumps. Again put a pan on a plate and bring its contents to the boil. Kissel is ready.

4. It is possible to arrive differently. At first squeeze out juice and put in the fridge. Fill in a residue of a cranberry with water and boil, then filter, add sugar and again put on fire. Dissolve starch with a small amount of water and pour a thin stream in the begun to boil cranberry broth. Don't forget to stir slowly at the same time in order to avoid emergence of lumps. Remove kissel from a plate and slightly cool. Finally pour in cranberry juice and mix. This option of preparation of kissel as much as possible keeps vitamin C with which the cranberry is so rich.

5. Kissel can be served warm or completely cooled down. In the latter case it is possible to decorate its surface with whipped cream and berries of strawberry or raspberry.
